Taproom Bartender
Part-Time Seasonal (Full-Time Hours Possible in Peak Season)
Start Date: Spring 2026
About Us
Perched at one of the highest points in Prince Edward County, Slake Brewing offers panoramic views of the countryside and Lake Ontario. It’s the kind of place where people slow down, have a drink, and take in the sunset. We’re proud of our beers, but it’s our relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes Slake special. Most of our team has been with us for years (which we think says a lot), and together we’ve created a place where both visitors and staff genuinely enjoy spending time.
The Role
We’re looking for friendly, reliable people to join our taproom team for the 2026 season. You’ll be the face of Slake, pouring beer, and serving other drinks, guiding guests through our lineup, handling retail sales, and helping create the kind of atmosphere that keeps people coming back. This is a hybrid bar and guest-service role: expect to be behind the bar, out on the patio, working events, and pitching in wherever needed.
This is a seasonal position running approximately May through October, with the possibility of earlier start or extended shoulder-season hours depending on business needs. Like most roles in Prince Edward County’s tourism industry, flexibility is key — you’ll work more hours during the busy season and fewer in the shoulder months, with weekend and evening availability essential throughout. Limited off-season hours may be available for the right person, though this can’t be guaranteed.
Typical Schedule
-
Shifts are generally 4–8 hours
-
Shoulder season (May, September–October): 2–4 shifts per week
-
Peak season (June–August): 4–5 shifts per week for those seeking full-time hours
-
Weekends and evenings are required; holiday availability expected; occasional late night event work required
