Front of House / Taproom Manager
Full-Time (Hours vary seasonally)
Start Date: April 1, 2025
About Us
Perched at one of the highest points in Prince Edward County, Slake Brewing offers what many consider the best sunset views in PEC. Our taproom features stunning panoramic views of the countryside and Lake Ontario - it's the kind of place where time slows down and everyday stresses melt away. We're proud of our beers, but it's our relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes Slake special. Most of our team has been with us for years (which we think says a lot), and together we've created a place where both visitors and staff genuinely enjoy spending time.
Our brewery has seen consistent growth each year, establishing ourselves as one of the top growing brands in the LCBO. We're also proud to be an active part of our community, regularly partnering with local charities and non-profits to host fundraising events and give back to the County.
What We're Looking For
We need a Taproom Manager who gets what makes Slake different. Someone who can run a tight ship while keeping things friendly and laid-back. This is very much a hands-on role – you'll spend plenty of time behind the bar alongside the team, creating great experiences for our guests while also handling the behind-the-scenes management that keeps everything running smoothly.
This is a year-round position with hours that follow the County's natural tourism rhythm - from bustling summer days to cozy winter afternoons. During peak season, you'll lead a team of up to 6 people with full-time hours, while in the quieter winter months, you'll work with a core team of 3 on a reduced schedule. Like most roles in Prince Edward County's tourism industry, flexibility is key - you'll work more hours during the busy season and fewer in the winter, with evening and weekend availability essential throughout the year.
