Summer

Blackberry. Cherry. Sangria.

Summer is a unique wine-beer hybrid spritzer from our barrel cellar. Each year we make a vintage of our Darren The One Eyed Cat, a barrel aged Grape Ale with local PEC grapes. 

To make Summer, we used second-use PEC Cab Sauv grape skins after making Darren, added a bit of fresh beer and refermented it. It's a piquette-ish beer. 

The result is an ultra-refreshing wine-beer spritzer that is dry, light, and effervescent at only 3%. The nose has bold blackberry and cherry aromas, and the beer has a distinct sangria berry character. It's a unique summer refresher!
