Ontario's proof of vaccination system comes into effect on September 22. For the time being, Slake remains primarily an outdoor experience and we do not offer indoor seating/drinking. We are currently aiming to offer indoor seating in late October / early November when the weather cools. Until then, we'll have fire pits going outside and encourage you to enjoy the beautiful Fall weather!
Since we do not offer indoor seating, proof of vaccination is not required for the majority of customers at Slake.
However, there are a few scenarios where you will be required to show proof of vaccination, including if you would like to taste a sample of something at the bar, and in the event of inclement weather if you would like to come inside to finish your beer. In both these cases we will require proof of vaccination for all guests who are taking off their masks indoors.
Otherwise, we ask that you continue to wear your mask inside and maintain social distancing from other groups (outside, too!). For our staff's safety, we ask that you put your mask on when outside ordering from either our kitchen / retail window or the outdoor bar.
All guests who are staying on site are required to provide contact tracing information upon arrival.
Our building is outfitted with a modern HVAC system with high quality HEPA-grade air filters. This system continuously monitors indoor air quality and automatically increases the amount of fresh air brought in from outside based on air quality sensors.
We participate in a COVID rapid testing program and all staff can test themselves regularly.
We are looking forward to hosting you safely. Thanks for your understanding and patience with our team as we continue to navigate changing rules as the public health situation changes. Enjoy your visit!
